The Degognia Township is one of 16 townships in Jackson County in the southwest of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois . In 2010 Degognia Township had 153 inhabitants.

Degognia Township is located on the east bank of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Missouri . The mouth of the Ohio at the intersection of the states of Illinois, Missouri and Kentucky is about 130 km south.
The Degognia Township is 37 ° 48'51 "north latitude and 89 ° 38'15" west longitude and extends over 79.43 km², which is spread over 76.68 km² of land and 2.75 km² of water.
The Degognia Township is located in the far west of Jackson County and is bordered by the Mississippi in the south and southwest of Perry County in Missouri. It is bordered to the northwest by Randolph County . Within Jackson County, Degognia Township borders on Bradley Township in the north, Kinkaid Township in the east and Fountain Bluff Township in the southeast .
