Bogdan isn't sure he can trust the killer. When Bogdan was in a wheelchair days later, he was murdered. A truck and a car try to run over him. Bogdan barely escapes the attack and realizes that he can walk again. Meanwhile, his girlfriend is kidnapped by those who commissioned the attacks and his friend Toni is killed. He manages to shoot one, and the second is taken by Dr. Proper shot. When Bogdan has brought Daniela to safety, he drives to the last two criminals and brings them down. Bogdan later meets Dr. Proper and his police chief Axel in a pub. Bogdan learns from Axel that organized crime cannot be completely smashed and that Axel had previously dealt with the ace and now with Dr. Proper working together. Reviews

"Peter Patzak, the Austrian director, shot a tough, sentimental, hungover, German big-city thriller with an overwhelmingly rat-like Peter Maffay in the lead role."

“'Steppenwolf'-Peter Maffay fishes a little wooden in the neon gloom of German crime, supported by the world stars Michael York, Tahnee Welch and Elliout Gould. Well-made thriller with elements from Hollywood's 'black series', which reached half a million viewers in the cinema. Attractive subject matter and a strong cast. "

“In Peter Patzak's film 'The Joker' pretty much everything comes to a bad end, a risk that the director and screenwriters took to realize their idea of pure genre cinema: 'The Joker' is currently the best card in a game , which is called German action cinema. "

- Der Spiegel 43/1987

"Crude story, confused by the veteran Patzak. Conclusion: 80s trash from beautiful Hamburg. "
