The German Luge Championships 2001 took place on March 3, 2001 on the artificial ice rink at Königssee .

The title fights marked the end of the 2000/01 season. The national titles went to Silke Kraushaar in the women's singles, Georg Hackl in the men's singles and André Florschütz / Torsten Wustlich in the doubles.

As in the previous year, Silke Kraushaar became German champion . Barbara Niedernhuber won silver on her home track, Sonja Wiedemann achieved the bronze medal. Anke Wischnewski missed the podium more than half a second behind in 3rd place. Gabi Bender and Julia Schäfer finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Anja Huber achieved fifth place in her last race as a luge - she switched to skeleton for the following season - and relegated Silvia Schupp and Simone Altmann to the other places.

As in previous years, Georg Hackl , who relegated Robert Fegg and Denis Geppert to the other podium places, was the German men's champion . Markus Moderegger finished fourth. Patric Leitner , who competed in the single-seater competition due to the injury-related loss of his doubles partner Alexander Resch , achieved 5th place ahead of Bernd Sattler .
