The DPV communications union (DPVKOM) is the trade union at Deutsche Post AG , Deutsche Telekom AG and Postbank AG . The vast majority of its active members are employed by Deutsche Post DHL. In addition, DPVKOM organizes employees at Deutsche Telekom, at Postbank, which is now part of Deutsche Bank, and at call centers. DPVKOM is a tariff partner at Deutsche Post, Deutsche Telekom and through the collective bargaining agreement with DBV and the komba union at Deutsche Postbank.

The DPVKOM emerges from the German Post Association (DPV). It was founded on June 6, 1890 as the Association of German Post Assistants in Berlin and renamed from German Post Association to DPVKOM on a trade union day in 1997 . The seat is in Bonn. The advocacy group has eleven full-time employees in the federal office, including speakers for the Post / Postbank, Telecom / Call Center, tariff / civil servants, press, law and federal chairpersons.

DPVKOM concentrates on the core areas of Post, Postbank and Telecom and what it says is a "future-oriented professional policy". In her actions she is always critical of the company's downsizing plans. It demands "innovative measures to safeguard jobs" from companies.

DPVKOM publishes the regular trade journal DPVKOM Magazin ( ISSN  1438-0633 ) for its members . Additional benefits include protection against claims for damages by the employer in the event of accidents with the company vehicle, the additional protection package DPVKOM-mobil, key insurance (keys and code cards provided by third parties and business or professional), worldwide leisure accident insurance, support in the event of death and emergencies, Strike money, seminars and training courses for works and staff councils are offered.
