Diano San Pietro is an Italian municipality with 1106 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the valley above Diano Marina . In addition to the main town Diano San Pietro, Diano Borganzo and Diano Roncagli belong to the municipality.

The neighboring municipalities are Diano Arentino , Diano Castello , San Bartolomeo al Mare , Stellanello (SV) and Villa Faraldi .

The parish church of San Pietro e Paulo is located on a fortified forecourt, which previously served to defend the town. It was the first church in the entire valley, but the current building dates from the 17th century. The furnishings still include the marble altars of the old church, a representation of the martyrdom of John the Baptist and a marble pulpit from the 16th century by Giovanni Maria Augustallo.

Olive cultivation has a long tradition and is still practiced today. The hydropower of the San Pietro stream was previously used for oil mills.
