Airole (in Ligurian : Airöe ) is a northern Italian municipality with 370 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Liguria region . Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia .

geography

Airole is located in the Val Roia in the hinterland of the province of Imperia. Located on the banks of the Roia River , the municipality is about 10 kilometers from the coast of the Ligurian Sea . Airole belongs to the Comunità Montana Intemelia . The distance to the provincial capital Imperia is about 55 kilometers.
