Pigna (in Ligurian : Pìgna ) is a northern Italian municipality with 785 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Liguria region . Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia .

geography

Pigna lies in the mountainous, upper section of the Val Nervia . The at an altitude between 200 and 300 meters above sea level. The village is situated north-east to south-west and is traversed by the Nervia river. The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana Intemelia and is about 62 kilometers from the provincial capital Imperia .
