Borgomaro (in Ligurian : Burgumà ) is a northern Italian municipality with 835 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Liguria region . Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia .

Borgomaro is located in the valley of the Impero River . The municipality belongs to the Comunità Montana dell'Olivo and is about 16 kilometers from the provincial capital Imperia  .
