Drösede is a district of the municipality of Zehrental in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark Drösede, a clustered village on Zehren ditch, located 11 kilometers northeast of Arendsee (Altmark) and six kilometers northwest of Groß Garz , where the seat of the municipality is Zehrental.

The neighboring towns are clockwise Bömenzien in the north, Aulosen and Wanzer in the northeast, Ziegelei and Kahlenberge in the east, Deutsch in the southeast, Gollensdorf in the south, Wirl in the southwest and Nienwalde in the northwest.

The north-eastern part of the Bömenzien district , part of which is Drösede, belongs to the Aland-Elbe lowland . This protected area is part of the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve , one of a total of four reserves in the Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO in 1997 .

history

The first documentary mention as Drüsedow comes from July 11, 1319, when Margrave Woldemar in Tangermünde transferred properties to Aulosen with accessories to the Amelungsborn monastery . Further mentions are 1405 de Veltmarke to der Drusede , the village was apparently desolate , 1518 to Drusedow , 1541 Drosede , 1725 Dreßde and 1804 Drösede .

Half of the village burned down in 1839. At the beginning of the 20th century there was a windmill south of the village on Zehengraben, which already existed in 1840.

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Drösede from the district of Osterburg was incorporated into the municipality of Bömenzien. On January 1, 1973, the district of Drösede became a district of Gollensdorf (through the incorporation of Bömenzien in Gollensdorf).

On January 1, 2010, the Drösede district of the previously independent community of Gollensdorf became a district of the newly formed community of Zehrental, a member of the Seehausen (Altmark) community, through a territorial change agreement.

The Evangelical Christians from Drösede belong to the parish of Bömenzien, which used to belong to the parish of Bömenzien near Groß Wanzer in the Altmark. The church is now looked after by the parish area Beuster the church district Stendal in Propst Sprengel Stendal Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

Culture and sights

The village is on the Altmarkrundkurs long-distance cycle path , which, coming from Gollensdorf, runs through the village to Bömenzien.
