The Dusebach is a 10.4 km long, left and western tributary of the mill water in the districts of Waldeck-Frankenberg and Kassel , Hesse ( Germany ).
course
The Dusebach, also called Duse and formerly also called Dause , has its source just outside the Habichtswald Nature Park in North Hesse, about 3.5 km (as the crow flies ) south-south-west of Bühle , the south-eastern district of Bad Arolsen . Its source is located in Langen forest around 1.35 km (linear) northwest of at the B 251 standing castle Höhnscheid (to Bühle). It is located on the northern flank of the sacrificial mountain ( 437.3 m above sea level ) at around 400 m above sea level.
The Dusebach initially flows in a north-north-east direction through the Lange Wald, west past the Schierenkopf and then through the small village of Bühle, from where it turns north-east after it has influenced the Habichtswald Nature Park. It runs south past Gasterfelder Holz , a part of the Long Forest near the Wolfhagen district of Gasterfeld ; there was once a main air force ammunition facility and later the training area for the Pomeranian barracks used by the German Armed Forces until 2008 . Having emerged from the Long Forest, the Dusebach flows through agriculturally used terrain, passing through the deserted Gasterfeld . After crossing under the B 450 and where it joins the Siegenbach on the right , it passes the Wolfhagen core city to the north .
About 1.6 km (as the crow flies) below or northeast of Wolfhag city center , the Dusebach flows immediately west of the municipal sewage treatment plant at a height of about 238 m into the Mühlenwasser , a southern tributary of the Erpe, coming from the southwest .
Catchment area and tributaries
The largest tributary of the Dusebach, whose catchment area covers 20.894 km², is the 5.5 km long Siegenbach (4.814 km²) that runs west of the Wolfhager core city .
Watershed
The source area of the Dusebach lies on the Diemel-Eder / Fulda / Weser watershed , which means that the Dusebach, which flows in a north-easterly direction, drains into the Weser via Mühlenwasser , Erpe , Twiste and Diemel , while the Georgengraben, which flows somewhat rises further south-west of Freienhagen (to Waldeck ), takes a longer path over the Elbe , Eder and Fulda to the Weser.
