Vicente "Enzo" Potolicchio (born August 7, 1968 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan automobile racing driver . He started in the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

Career

Potolicchio began his motorsport career in American formula racing . He started in the Venezuelan Formula Ford 1600 in 1998 and won the overall ranking of the Venezuelan Formula Ford 2000 in 2005. In addition, Potolicchio took part in a total of nine races in the US F2000 National Championship in 2001 and 2005 . He achieved a podium placement.

Potolicchio switched to GT racing and won the championship title of the North American Ferrari Challenge in 2010 and 2011 . In 2011 he also took part in six races of the F2000 Championship Series . A sixth place was his best result. His main focus in 2011, however, was the Rolex Sports Car Series , where he competed in ten of twelve races in the DP class for Starworks Motorsport . Together with his teammate Ryan Dalziel , he won the season finale in Lexington . He reached the 13th place overall in the DP ranking. In 2012, Potolicchio initially took part in two long-distance races in the Arab region and one long-distance race in North America. He was starting for Starworks Motorsport together with Dalziel, Lucas Luhr , Allan McNish and Alex Popow second in the Daytona 24-hour race . His main focus in the 2012 season is the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), in which he competes for Starworks Motorsport in an HPD ARX-03b - Honda . Potolicchio brought the Venezuelan Tourist Office to the team as a sponsor. At the season opener in Sebring , Potolicchio, together with his team-mates Dalziel and Stéphane Sarrazin, achieved third place overall and victory in the LMP2 class. When 24-hour race at Le Mans in 2012 , which also scored for the WEC, followed with Dalziel and Tom Kimber-Smith as a teammate, another class victory in the LMP2. After the third race, he finished sixth in the drivers' world championship with Dalziel. In addition, Potolicchio competed in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge .
