The FIA -Langstrecken World Cup in 2012 (officially 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship ) was the first season of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The FIA ​​World Endurance Championship succeeded the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup .

Regulations

The FIA ​​World Endurance Championship adopted the rules of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) for LMP and GTE vehicles. In the LMP1 class, world championship titles were awarded to drivers and manufacturers.
