Enrique Antônio Langue de Silvério e Bernoldi (born October 19, 1978 in Curitiba ) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver .

Career

Bernoldi began his motorsport career in karting . At the age of 17 the Brazilian tried his hand at European motorsport and drove in the Italian Formula Alfa Boxer, in which he finished fourth in his debut race. Then Bernoldi switched to the British Formula Renault Championship. Bernoldi also drove in Formula Renault and in Formula 3000 , in which he reached 18th place in 2000. For the 2001 Formula 1 season he was signed by Arrows . He made his Formula 1 debut on March 4, 2001 at the Australian Grand Prix , from which he retired. Until the team withdrew in mid-2002, he drove for Arrows in Formula 1, but was unable to achieve any notable successes.

In 2005 Bernoldi was one of the BAR-Honda test drivers . In 2008 he started in the American IndyCar Series for the moderately successful Conquest Racing team . Two races before the end of the season he was replaced by the experienced Alex Tagliani because of a hand injury and his performance .

In 2010, Bernoldi drove for Vitaphone Racing in the 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship . In the following season 2011 he drives for Sumo Power GT.
