The FIA -Langstrecken World Cup in 2013 (officially 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship was) the second season of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). It began on April 14th at Silverstone and ended on November 30th in al-Sachir .
Some rules have been adjusted for the 2013 season. The Gran Turismo vehicles and the Le Mans prototypes drove two different qualification sessions, each lasting 25 minutes. Each team had to nominate two drivers who each completed two timed laps on the same set of tires. A mean value was formed from the four timed laps, which decided the starting order of the vehicles. While in the previous year there was still an overall rating for drivers of the Le Mans prototypes and the Gran Tourismo vehicles, a separate rating for GT drivers was introduced this year.
