Erich Brauer (actor)
Erich Brauer (born September 12, 1914 in Leipzig , † October 26, 1989 in Berlin ) was a German actor and theater director .
After completing his acting training, Brauer made his debut on a stage in Weimar in 1935 , followed by a stint at the Kammerspiele Passau . He then worked in Halle (Saale) until 1954 and from 1957 to 1987 as a performer at the Volksbühne in Berlin , interrupted by a brief managerial position in Altenburg . Parallel to his work for the theater since the mid-1950s, he also did extensive film and television work for DEFA and television in the GDR .
