Erwin Schrödinger Prize

The Erwin Schrödinger Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) is an annually awarded science prize for life's work in the field of mathematics and the natural sciences .

criteria

The prize can be awarded to scholars who work in Austria and who have achieved outstanding scientific achievements in the subjects represented by the mathematical and natural science class in the broadest sense. The award is not given to actual members of the Academy. However, these are the only ones who can submit proposals for award winners.

The award takes place annually in October as part of a festive award ceremony. The prize is endowed with 15,000 euros.
