Eugene Boateng

Eugene Kwaku Asante Boateng (born March 20, 1985 in Düsseldorf ) is an actor , choreographer , dancer and model .

Life

Born as the son of Ghanaian parents, Eugene Boateng (nickname "U-Gin") grew up with his seven siblings in Kiefernstrasse in Düsseldorf, which was made famous by squatters and the RAF . This environment, consisting of over 45 nationalities from various social classes, inspired Boateng to dance. At 19 he started training in his parents' attic and shortly afterwards won his first competition at the Düsseldorf nightclub Checker's. Numerous other competitions and productions for the Kabavil dance theater followed.

In 2006 he won the Viva Dancestar talent competition with Detlef Soost and then moved to Berlin .

In collaboration with various German artists such as Kool Savas , MIA, Jan Delay or the No Angels, Eugene Boateng has appeared as a dancer in numerous music videos.

With theater producer Christoph Winkler and Anja Kozik, Eugene appeared in plays such as Fhlip Fhlop , together with Ernest Allan Hausmann , A Taste Of Ra or Tales of the Funky.

Further training by lecturers from the Berlin drama school Ernst Busch and the University of the Arts in the areas of singing, acting and directing helped him to roles in love makes sexy, Robert Zimmermann is amazed at love in series such as For Heaven's Sake and cinema commercials.

His cinema debut was in a leading role alongside Christian Ulmen in Beck's last summer .
