Eulenhof is a district of the town of Treuchtlingen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .
location
The settlement is about two kilometers west of the Treuchtlingen district of Schmarrmühle and northwest of the Treuchtlingen district of Möhrenberg . The hamlet can be reached from Treuchtlingen via Eulenhofer Straße, from Staatsstraße 2217 via a junction in the valley of the Möhrenbach between Möhren and the Fuchsmühle and from Möhren via a junction from the “Am Sommerkeller” road.
history
The farm was probably in the 13th / 14th Century laid out by the Treuchtlinger castle lords. The place name means "court at the owls". Burkard von Seckendorff -Jochsberg, owner of Möhren Castle , acquired the Eulenhof from Wirich von Treuchtlingen on October 2, 1346 as part of his extensive acquisition policy. In 1453 the Pappenheim lordship bought the Eulenhof, which appears in a sage book from 1500 as "Eilnhoff". In 1516 Philipp von Seckendorff bought the "ewllenhof" with sheep from Marshal von Pappenheim . In 1667 it is said that Eulenhof as 1 farm and 1 newly erected Gütlein interest the Ansbach administration office in Treuchtlingen. In 1696 Eulenhof belonged to the rule of Marshal Veit in Treuchtlingen; at this point in time, as a result of the Thirty Years' War, it was not equipped with a “dwelling”. The Bailiwick had also held Treuchtlingen. The tithe went - as in 1732 - to the Augustinian monastery in Rebdorf . Eulenhof belonged to the Protestant community of Treuchtlingen in the Holy Roman Empire .
In the Kingdom of Bavaria , Eulenhof became part of the Treuchtlingen tax district in 1808 , which was transformed into a municipal municipality in 1810 .
In 1824 there lived in the now three properties of Eulenhof 17, in 1867 20, in the post-war period with flight and displacement in 1950 27, in 1961 in four residential buildings again only 18, in 1987 17 and 2012 16 people.
In 1984 it was said of the three Eulenhof farms that they were “modern full-time farms with bull and pig fattening”.
