The European Ramblers' Association (ERA) ( English European Ramblers Association , ERA ) is an umbrella organization of 55 walking clubs from 30 European countries . Its official seat is Kassel ( Germany ), but the office is in Prague ( Czech Republic ).

It was founded on October 19, 1969 in the Nägelehaus on the Raichberg near Onstmettingen by hiking organizations from Germany, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg and Belgium. Today it has more than five million members. She looks after the European long-distance hiking trails and regularly organizes the European hiking meeting EURORANDO. The European Hiking Association has been cooperating with the European Union of Mountaineering Associations since 2019 .
