Eva Ofen (born October 31, 1949 in Meißen ) is a German draftsman and sculptor .

Eva Ofen grew up in Meissen. In 1952 the family moved to Berlin. From September 1956 to June 1958 she attended the first and second grade in Berlin-Köpenick , Wongrowitzer Steig. Then from the 3rd grade to the 8th grade from September 1958 to June 1963 in Köpenick, An der Freiheit 15. From September 1963 to June 1968 she attended EOS Berlin-Mitte, the former Protestant grammar school at the Grauen Kloster . There she also earned her Abitur with a skilled worker qualification as a commercial clerk for laboratory and fine chemicals. Due to her artistic talent, she worked as a kascheurin at the Komische Oper in Berlin in 1968 . At the same time, she completed an evening course at the Berlin-Weißensee School of Art . From 1973 to 1975 she studied theater sculpture at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts and from 1975 to 1980 sculpture. She completed her studies with Gerd Jaeger with a diploma.

Artistic career

From 1980 she worked as a freelance sculptor in Dresden and Berlin. In 1984 she became a member of the Association of Berlin Artists and in 1989 of the Sächsischer Künstlerbund BBK, since 1991 of the artist group Kartoffel, a communicative art open project. In 2007 she became a member of the New Saxon Art Association .
