Fåborg Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the municipality of Faaborg-Midtfyn . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Sallinge Herred in the then Svendborg office . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the Faaborg commune in the then newly founded Fyns Amt , which has belonged to the Syddanmark region since the local reform on January 1, 2007 .

On January 1, 2020, of the 6,988 inhabitants of the town of Faaborg, 6,208 were living in the parish. The Helligåndskirken is located in the parish of Faaborg . Bjørnø is part of the municipality .

Neighboring communities are Svanninge in the north, Diernæs in the east and Horne in the west .
