Fabian Enders

Fabian Enders (born August 21, 1986 in Rüdersdorf near Berlin ) is a German conductor . He is the artistic director of the Saxon Chamber Choir , the Central German Virtuoso and the Saxon Soloists' Association in Leipzig.

Live and act

After graduating from the Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Gymnasium in Berlin, Enders studied orchestral and choral conducting with Georg Christoph Biller and Christian Kluttig at the Musikhochschule Leipzig , completed his studies as a certified conductor and also passed the A examination as a church musician. This was followed by further studies at the International Mendelssohn Academy in Leipzig and at the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg as a master student of Kurt Masur and Peter Gülke (conducting) and Peter Schreier (song interpretation). He also attended master classes with Helmuth Rilling , Simon Halsey , Hans-Joachim Rotzsch and Jorma Panula, among others . He was supported by the Bayreuth Scholarship and scholarships from the Bach Week Ansbach and the Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg.

Enders began his artistic career in 2011 as a choir assistant at the Chemnitz Theater and was Kapellmeister of the Erzgebirge Philharmonic from 2012 to 2014 . In the context of assistance and rehearsals, he worked with conductors such as Peter Schreier , Simon Rattle , Gottfried von der Golz , Helmuth Rilling , Yutaka Sado and Robin Ticciati, as well as with the RIAS Chamber Choir several times .

With the Thomanerchor Leipzig, Enders performed choral works by Anton Bruckner , Johann Sebastian Bach , Kurt Thomas and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in the Thomaskirche . He also worked at the Leipzig Bach Festival , the Mendelssohn Festival Leipzig, the Mozart Week Salzburg and the MDR Music Summer and directed choirs such as the Thomanerchor, the Rundfunkchor Berlin , the Gächinger Kantorei , the Monteverdi Choir Hamburg , the Bach Collegium Stuttgart and orchestras like the Staatskapelle Halle , the Central German Chamber Orchestra , the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra , the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra and the Odessa Chamber Philharmonic.

Enders has directed the Saxon Chamber Choir and the Central German Virtuosos since 2014, and the Saxon Soloists' Association since 2017 .

In 2017, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Reformation , Enders conducted the world premiere of Steffen Schleiermacher's Scenes Me. Thomas Müntzer. Servant of God with the Altenburg-Gera Philharmonic Orchestra . In 2018, he performed the oratorio Christ, the Risen by Gustav Schreck in the Thomaskirche with the orchestra of the Cottbus State Theater . A CD was produced from the live recording of this concert as a world premiere, which was nominated for the Opus Klassik music prize in 2019

Concerts and productions were broadcast by several radio stations, including Deutschlandfunk Kultur , Österreich 1 , rbbKultur and SWR2 .
