Journalistic activity

In his book The Open Flank of the SPD , Krautkrämer tried, among others, the SPD politicians Stephan Braun and Ute Vogt , who had published a critical book about Junge Freiheit , to prove left-wing extremist contacts. Braun and the information portal against right-wing extremism Blick nach Rechts obtained cease and desist declarations against Krautkrämer and Junge Freiheit . The allegations - which were also directed against the specialist journalists for right-wing extremism, Anton Maegerle and Andreas Speit - had been spread by the Focus boss Michael Klonovsky . The editor from Blick nach Rechts , Helmut Lölhöffel , spoke of a “campaign” by Focus and Junge Freiheit , which also affected the federal chairwoman of the Jusos , Franziska Drohsel . Initiated by the editor-in-chief of Junge Freiheit, Dieter Stein , a second revised edition of the book was sent to members of parliament throughout Germany.

For Krautkrämer's book Das links Netz , the former Federal Prosecutor Alexander von Stahl , formerly the lawyer for the Junge Freiheit , wrote the foreword. At the Frankfurt Book Fair 2010, the work of Stein and Krautkrämer was presented at the JF stand. Another event on the subject of "Media and Debate" took place with Felix Menzel , editor of the Blue Narcissus . Two years later, Krautkrämer appeared with Erik Lehnert , Managing Director of the Institute for State Policy , on the subject of "60 Years of the Federal Agency for Civic Education". The right margin commented on the event with: "Feindbild BpB".

At the Leipzig Book Fair 2013, Krautkrämer presented the book Only for official use, published by Ares-Verlag . As head of the protection of the constitution in east Germany of the former state protection of the constitution Helmut Roewer .

Together with Dieter Stein, on the occasion of the publication of his book on the Alternative for Germany (AfD), he held talks with the top candidates for the state parliament, Frauke Petry and Alexander Gauland, about the possibilities of the new party.

Krautkrämer gave lectures on his book topics at student associations such as the Berlin fraternity Gothia , the fraternity Thessalia Prague and the Munich fraternity Cimbria, some of which are close to the Identitarian Movement .

reception

The SPD politician and head of the Endstation Rechts project , Mathias Brodkorb , reviewed Krautkrämer's second edition of the book The Open Flank of the SPD . Krautkrämer threw around "with terms such as 'left-wing extremist', 'left-wing radical', 'autonomous', 'anti-German' and 'anti-fascist' without giving even a single account of what he means by that." He also commented on them "Krautkrämer-Kampfschrift": "[...] it is extremely unbelievable as a newspaper to defend oneself in court against being mentioned in reports on the protection of the Constitution, [...] but not even a trace of restraint or critical distance from political opponents . "

The work The Left Net was also commented critically by Brodkorb on the right end of the line : “[...] a masterpiece of political satire [...], after reading it, the insider's eyes are unlikely to remain dry." Krautkrämer constructs "with sophistication, sovereignty and one lively shot of imagination a 'left net' ”. Benevolent reviews appeared a. a. in the fraternity sheets and in peculiarly free . Due to his journalistic activities he is counted by the anti-fascist side to the "Academic Anti-Antifa ". The extremism researcher Armin Pfahl-Traughber described the series of publications, Studies Extremism and Freedom , in which Krautkrämer's book was included, as “pseudoscientific” and the publications in it as “politically motivated”.

His book about the AfD was u. a. in the NZZ am Sonntag and the Frankfurter Rundschau reviewed. For the Frankfurter Rundschau , Thomas Kröter found it to "extensively portray the conflict between the party leadership and members who want to position the AfD even further to the right."
