The Aosta Airport ( ital. Aeroporto della Valle d'Aosta "Corrado Gex" , double. Aéroport de la Vallée d'Aoste "Corrado Gex" ) is a regional airport in the Italian Aosta Valley . It is located around two kilometers east of Aosta in the municipality of Saint-Christophe .
The airport was built in the late 1950s. It serves general aviation , the local aero club and air rescue . The regional airline Air Vallée had its headquarters here until 2010 , when it moved to Rimini due to disputes over the expansion of the airport . The airport received a new terminal building with additional parking spaces, the runway was extended from 1240 to almost 1500 meters and equipped with an instrument landing system.
Aosta Airport received two scheduled flights in the summer of 2019. One leads to Ingolstadt / Manching Air Base , the other to Olbia Airport , which is located in Sardinia . Both flights are operated on Sundays by the German Private Wings .
