The Forstmühler Forest is a 24.27 km² community-free area in the Regensburg district in the Upper Palatinate . It is mostly forested and uninhabited. As of July 1, 2014, 4.6 km² of the Forstmühler Forest were incorporated into the Wiesent community .

The area is mainly used for forestry. A mining company extracts granite in the middle of the Forstmühler Forest. The expansion of the quarry is controversial.
