Pfakofen is a municipality in the Upper Palatinate district of Regensburg in Bavaria and a member of the Alteglofsheim administrative community .

Geographical location
The community is located in the Regensburg region, about 20 km southeast of Regensburg in the valley of the Große Laaber .
Community structure
Pfakofen consists of six districts:
- Einhausen
- Fuchsmühle
- House mill
- Pfakofen
- Pfellkofen
- Rogging
There are the districts Pfakofen, Pfellkofen and Rogging.
history
Until the church is planted
The Hofmark Pfakofen belonged to the Counts of Königsfeld from 1532 to 1808. The place was part of the Electorate of Bavaria . In 1818 the political community was established.
Incorporations
In 1945 or 1946 the previously independent municipality of Pfellkofen was incorporated. Rogging joined on January 1, 1978.
Population development
Between 1988 and 2018 the municipality grew from 1,124 to 1,598 by 474 inhabitants or 42.2%.

Christian Gangkofer (Free Voters) was elected First Mayor in the local elections on March 15, 2020 with 67.93% of the vote.
Local councils
The municipal council consists of the first mayor and twelve elected members. In the local elections on March 15, 2020, 894 of the 1,297 residents eligible to vote in the municipality of Pfakofen exercised their right to vote, bringing the turnout to 68.93 percent.

Economy including agriculture and forestry
In 1998, according to official statistics, five people were employed at the place of work in the field of agriculture and forestry, 76 in the manufacturing sector and 57 in trade and transport. In other economic sectors this value was 20 people. 516 people were employed at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There were none in the manufacturing industry and two in the construction industry. In addition, in 1999 there were 44 farms with an agriculturally used area of 1075 hectares, of which 976 hectares were arable and 99 hectares were permanently green.
