coat of arms
Blazon : “Under the wave shield head divided by blue and silver in a wave cut, split by a silver wave pole; in front in red on a silver mountain a silver conifer, behind in red over a silver mountain a silver grape with a leaf. " | |
Reasons for the coat of arms: The color scheme of the new municipal coat of arms from 1983 is based on the coat of arms of the Regensburg patrician family Aunkofer (twice diagonally divided by blue, silver and red). The geographical location of the community on the Danube and at the confluence of the Perlbach is symbolized by the wave shield head and the wave pole. The wave stake also “speaks” for the place name. The silver conifer in the front field refers to the adjacent forest, the grapes in the rear field to the viticulture that is still cultivated today. The silver mountains are reminiscent of the municipality's location on the edge of the Bavarian forest. |
