Frank Meyer (legal scholar)

Frank Meyer (* 1975 in Lübeck ) is a German legal scholar . He is professor for criminal law , criminal procedure law including international criminal law at the University of Zurich .

Meyer studied law in Hamburg and passed the first state examination in law in 2000, and in 2002 he did his doctorate at the University of Hamburg on the subject of lack of will of the accused when he waived legal remedies in criminal proceedings . After the second state examination in 2004, he completed an LL.M. Degree at Yale Law School . In 2008 he was admitted to the bar and until 2011 he worked as a lawyer in a law firm in Bonn .

In 2011, Meyer completed his habilitation at the University of Bonn with a thesis on the genesis of criminal law in international organizations . Since the fall semester 2011 he has held the chair for criminal law and criminal procedure law, including international criminal law, at the University of Zurich.
