Gunhild Godenzi

Gunhild Godenzi (* 1974 in Essen ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Zurich .

Life

Godenzi studied law at the University of Düsseldorf , where she passed her first state examination in law in 2000 . She then completed a supplementary course in white collar crime at the University of Osnabrück , which she completed in 2002 with the title Master of Laws (LL.M.). She then completed her legal clerkship in the district of the Cologne Higher Regional Court , which she completed in 2004 with the second state examination . From 2004 Godenzi worked as a research assistant to Wolfgang Wohlers at the University of Zurich , where she became a Dr. iur. PhD.

Godenzi then worked as editor-in-chief of the Swiss magazine forumpoenale and for the public prosecutor of the canton of Zug . From 2009 she worked as a senior assistant on her habilitation, completed in 2015, and received the Venia legendi for criminal law and criminal procedure law. Also in 2015, she joined a law firm in Zurich, for which she has been a consultant since 2016. She has been Professor of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at the University of Zurich since 2016.
