Leander D. Loacker

Leander D. Loacker (* 1979 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian legal scholar .

Life

Leander D. Loacker was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD at the University of Innsbruck . He was senior assistant for civil and civil procedural law at the University of Zurich and before that a research assistant at the University of Mannheim . He conducted research at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law and at the University of Manchester , where he obtained a Master of Philosophy in Law ( M.Phil. ). After completing his habilitation at the University of Zurich in 2016 ( Venia Legendi for private law, international private law, insurance law, European law and comparative law), he held a professorship for civil law, commercial law, insurance law, international private law and comparative law at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University from 2017 to 2018 Frankfurt am Main . Since 2018 he has been teaching international private and civil procedural law as well as comparative law at the University of Zurich as holder of the chair for private and commercial law.
