Florent Thouvenin

Florent Thouvenin (* 1975 ) is a Swiss lawyer and professor at the University of Zurich .

Life

Thouvenin studied law at the University of Zurich from 1995 to 2001 . After completing his studies, he worked in Zurich as a research assistant to Reto M. Hilty until 2003 . After a research stay at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property in Munich, he completed his legal clerkship as an auditor at the Zurich District Court and as a trainee at Lenz & Staehelin in Zurich. In 2007 he passed his bar exam in the canton of Zurich and completed his doctorate in the same year. iur. He then worked as a lawyer at Lenz & Staehelin.

From 2010 to 2014 he was assistant professor at the University of St. Gallen , from 2014 to 2016 at the University of Zurich. Since March 2016 he has held the extraordinary chair for information and communication law in Zurich.
