Fritz Schuler (politician, 1944)

Fritz Schuler (born July 22, 1944 in Bregenz ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and lawyer. Schuler was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament from 1994 to 2004 .

Fritz Schuler was born on July 22, 1944 as the son of the doctor Fritz Schuler and his wife Anna in the Vorarlberg state capital Bregenz. After attending elementary school and high school in Bregenz, where he passed the Matura in 1962, Schuler studied law at the University of Innsbruck from 1962 to 1967 . In 1963 he became a member of the Corps Gothia Innsbruck . In 1967 he received his doctorate in law in Innsbruck . Following his court internship, he became a trainee lawyer in law firms in Vaduz and Bregenz. In 1975 he finally opened his own law firm.

Fritz Schuler joined the Freedom Party of Austria in 1993. After the state election on September 18, 1994 , Fritz Schuler was elected for the first time for the FPÖ in the Bregenz constituency as a member of the state parliament in the 26th Vorarlberg state parliament. When he was sworn in on October 4, 1994, Schuler also took over the office of 2nd Vice President of the State Parliament for one legislative period. On April 26, 1996, he was also elected deputy state party leader of the FPÖ Vorarlberg . After being re-elected as a member of the 27th state parliament in 1999, Fritz Schuler resigned from the state parliament when the 28th Vorarlberg state parliament was sworn in. Half a year later, on April 11, 2005, Schuler resigned from the FPÖ due to the effects of the Knittelfelder FPÖ Assembly in 2002 and the establishment of the BZÖ and thus ended his political career for good.

Since leaving active politics, Schuler has been working again as an independent lawyer specializing in commercial and contract law.
