Günter Sonnenberg (actor)

Günter Sonnenberg (born February 17, 1925 in Berlin ; † September 14, 1992 there ) was a German actor .

Life

Sonnenberg began his acting training in Wittenberg in 1945, which he continued after an episode at the Dresden State Theater , at the drama school of the German Theater Berlin . After completing his studies, he worked at several theaters until he came to Erfurt, where he played and sang until 1961. Then he switched to the television company, which brought him to the German Theater in 1962. One of his first roles here, the singer in Rote Rosen für mich , shows the excellent singer and actor. In addition to his speaking roles, he was always drawn to music. He had his own programs of Irish folk music in his repertoire, followed by the unforgettable recitals of the German Theater. And he was one of the initiators of the successful series of events Jazz in the Chamber .

Günter Sonnenberg died on September 14, 1992 after a long and serious illness in Berlin.
