Günther Polensen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Günther Polensen (born May 20, 1910 in Tiegenhof ; † February 26, 1989 in Potsdam ) was a German actor , dubbing and radio play speaker .

Life

Little could be learned about Günther Polensen's life. During the National Socialist era, he appeared in several films from 1936 onwards. After the Second World War , roles in smaller theaters or traveling stages , as well as as a conférencier at colorful events, are documented in the daily newspapers of the time. From 1950 he was seen very often in DEFA films and television productions . The synchronization of foreign films for the DEFA was among his responsibilities. However, since only the film titles are known here, without specifying the roles and actors, and no articles exist, a list has not been included here. Another job that preoccupied him was that of a radio play speaker for radio and the GDR record label Litera .

There is something special about his name: as a film actor he always called himself Günther Polensen and as a radio play speaker he was Günter Polensen .
