Geno Lechner

Geno Lechner (* 1965 ) is a German actress .

Life

Lechner began her career in the theater at the age of 19 and made her debut at the Staatstheater Stuttgart under Ivan Nagel at that time . She starred in the world premiere of Taking Sides in London , directed by Harold Pinter, and appeared in Paris with Michel Bouquet and Claude Brasseur for a year . At the Brooklyn Academy of Music, she played the lead role in The Forest , directed by Robert Wilson . In 2007 she played Medea in Heiner Müller's Medea material in Budapest.

Since 1990 she has been shooting mainly for the cinema. She was among others in Schindler's List to see where he played the Majola called mistress of the SS camp commandant Amon Goeth . In Immortal Beloved by Bernard Rose and Hal Hartley Flirt they also occupied roles. In 1997 she won the award for best actress in Argentina for Gesche's Gift von Walburg von Waldenfels , in which she plays a serial killer who was up to mischief in Bremen between 1785 and 1831. Geno Lechner founded Volume57 , an international platform for actors, musicians, composers, dancers and circus artists, together with Birol Ünel and Tony Gatlif .
