The Gmina Tuplice is a rural municipality in the powiat Żarski of the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Teuplitz , Upper Sorbian Wjelike Tuplice ) with about 1500 inhabitants.
geography
Most of the municipality belongs to the Polish part of Niederlausitz . The German border is about six kilometers away and the town of Forst is twelve kilometers away. Of almost 66 km² of municipal area, 34 percent is used for agriculture and 54 percent for forestry.
history
(Pol. Świbinki) in Schniebinchen there were 1938 to 1939 a Hachshara bearings for young Jews. The imparting of agricultural knowledge was preparation for emigration.
