The Gmina Trzebiel [ ˈtʂɛbjɛl ] is a rural community in the powiat Żarski of the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland with around 5750 inhabitants. Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Triebel , Sorbian Trjebule ) with about 1350 inhabitants.
geography
The community is located in the Euroregion Neisse and belongs mainly to the Polish part of Niederlausitz . Its elevations are the end of the Muskauer fold arch .
The Europastraße 36 ( Berlin - Cottbus - Breslau ) leads through the north of the municipality.
history
In 1945 Trzebiel lost its city rights.
