The Gmina Wicko is a rural community (gmina wiejska) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and belongs to the powiat Lęborski . Its seat is in the village of Wicko [ 'vit͡skɔ ] (German Vietzig , Kashubian Wickò ) with about 690 inhabitants.
geography
The Gmina Wicko is located in Western Pomerania , about 15 kilometers north of Lębork (Lauenburg in Pomerania) and five kilometers south of the city of Łeba (Leba) on the Baltic Sea .
The waters include the Łeba (Leba) , which forms the largest part of the municipal boundary in the west. In the north-west part of the large Jezioro Łebsko (Lebasee ) belongs to the municipal area, while the smaller Jezioro Sarbsko (Sarbsker lake) belongs entirely to the municipal area.

- in the powiat Wejherowski : Choczewo (Chottschow) and

From 1975 to 1998 the rural community was part of the Stolp Voivodeship .

Streets
The provincial roads 213 and 214 run through the municipality:
- DW 213 in east-west direction: Celbowo ( Celbau ) - Krokowa ( Krockow ) - Słupsk ( Stolp ). It connects the Gmina Wicko with the neighboring districts Powiat Pucki and Powiat Słupski.
- DW 214 in north-south direction: Łeba ( Leba ) - Lębork ( Lauenburg in Pomerania ) - Kościerzyna ( Berent ) - Zblewo ( Hochstüblau ) - Warlubie ( Warlubia ). This leads from the Baltic Sea to the Greater Poland Voivodeship .
railroad
The state railway line 229 runs through the municipality from north to south from Łeba to Lębork and further via Kartuzy (Karthaus) to Pruszcz Gdański (Praust) . The two train stations Steknica (Fichthof) and Wrzeście (Freest bei Leba) are located in the Gmina area.
