Song information:

  • Since 1975 Dennis Wilson sang the song "You Are So Beautiful" at Beach Boys concerts for his fans. Billy Preston played the unfinished piece at a party that Wilson was also present at. Wilson, fascinated by the piece, began working on the piece with Preston. Wilson later assured that both the transition and the text of the song came from him, but he saw this as a service of friendship to Preston and did not mention it in the credits. When performing live, Wilson sang this song mostly as a tribute to California
