The Beach Boys' Christmas Album is the seventh, published in October 1964. Album of the Beach Boys . On the first side of the LP there are Christmas carols penned by Brian Wilson , on the second side the band sings traditional Christmas carols and a Scottish folk song, accompanied by a 40-piece orchestra .
The recordings for Little Saint Nick took place in October 1963, the single became a hit by Christmas 1963. The remaining pieces were recorded in June 1964. At Christmas Day , Alan Jardine sings the lead vocals for the first time .
The album, which was released in a mono and a stereo version and produced by Brian Wilson, reached number 6 on the US Billboard charts in 1964, but was also in the charts in later years in the run-up to Christmas.
