Gosław ( German Goslau ) is a place of Gmina Byczyna in the Opole Voivodeship in Poland .

Geographical location
Gosław is located on the Pratwa ( Proschlitzer Bach ) in the northwestern part of Upper Silesia in the Kreuzburger Land. The village of Gosław is located about 10 kilometers southeast of the Byczyna municipality , about 15 kilometers northeast of the district town of Kluczbork and about 62 kilometers northeast of the voivodeship capital Opole .

history
The name of the village is derived from the name of the founder, the village of Gosław .
Goslau was incorporated into the Nassadel district , founded in 1874 . In 1861 there were 244 people in Goslau.
In 1925 a new castle was built in Goslau. In 1933 152 people lived in Goslau, in 1939 141 people. Until 1945 the village belonged to the Kreuzburg OS district
As a result of the Second World War, Goslau fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . Subsequently, the place was renamed Gosław and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the newly founded Powiat Kluczborski ( Kreuzburg district ).
