Grand Central Railway is a British railway company and a subsidiary of Arriva and thus also of Deutsche Bahn . The company, which was founded in 2007, operates its InterCity services , which connect London with the north of England , financially independently of the British Ministry of Transport and is therefore not subject to a temporary license .

Route network

Grand Central Railway only operates on a main bifurcating route. This runs from King's Cross Station in London without stopping over the East Coast Main Line to Yorkshire , where it splits up: the north route goes via York to Sunderland , the west route via Doncaster to Bradford .
