The Grand Slam of Darts 2020 is a major tournament in darts and is to be held for the fourteenth time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from November 14th to 12th, 2020 . The venue will be the Aldersley Leisure Village for the third time .
format
The Grand Slam of Darts is the only tournament of the year in which both PDC and BDO players take part. Of the 32 players taking part, 30 are from the PDC for the first time and only two from the BDO.
The players are first drawn into eight groups of four, for which the players are divided into four different lottery pots during the draw. In the groups, the players determine the placement of the group stage in the "everyone against everyone" mode. The best two in each group qualify for the round of 16, from which the winner of the tournament is determined in the knockout system . The game mode rises from best of 9 legs in the group phase to best of 19 legs in the second round to best of 31 legs from the quarterfinals.

The total prize money of £ 550,000 breaks down as follows:

In contrast to other tournaments, the qualification criteria are not based exclusively on rankings, but on victories and finals in all major tournaments of the PDC and BDO in the twelve months before. Since there were some changes and cancellations in the tournament calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic , some of the qualification criteria were changed and adapted.
Consequently, the following are qualified for the Grand Slam of Darts 2020:
- The 22 PDC qualifiers (PDC major winners and finalists, PDC Home Tour winners, winners of the Women's Qualifier, winners PDC Summer Series, winners PDC Autumn Series, winners PDC Winter Series and the winners of the PDC European Tour 2020 and Players Championships 2020 unless 22 players come together)
- The 8 winners of the PDC qualification tournament
- The 2 BDO qualifiers: World Champion, World Champion

Group stage
On the first game day, the group heads meet the players seeded in position four and the players seeded in position two meet the players seeded in position three. On the second game day, the winners of the first games play against each other, as do the losers. On the third day of play, players who have not played against each other before will compete. All games are played in the best of 9 legs mode .
