Grand Slam of Darts 2014
The Singha Beer Grand Slam of Darts 2014 was held from November 8th to 16th in the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton and organized by the PDC .
In addition to 25 players from the PDC, seven players from the competing darts association BDO were invited.
The game was played in eight groups of four, in each of which the top two qualified for the final round of the best 16 players.
The defending champion was the English record world champion Phil Taylor , who was able to win the title again this year by beating Dave Chisnall in the final 16:13 .
Prize money
The total prize money awarded was £ 400,000 .

qualification
In contrast to other tournaments, the qualification criteria were not based on rankings, but on victories, finals and semi-finals at the major PDC tournaments and the BDO World Championship in previous years.
Since the BDO player Martin Adams had previously canceled participation in the Grand Slam of Darts three times, he was not invited to the tournament this year either.
