Grand Slam of Darts 2008

The PartyBets.com Grand Slam of Darts 2008 was held from November 15th to 23rd in the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton and organized by the PDC .

In addition to 24 players from the PDC, eight players from the competing darts association BDO were invited.

The game was played in eight groups of four, in each of which the top two qualified for the final round of the best 16 players.

The defending champion was the English record world champion Phil Taylor , who won the title again this year by beating Terry Jenkins 18: 9 in the final .

The total prize money awarded was £ 356,000 .

qualification

In contrast to other tournaments, the qualification criteria were not based on rankings, but on victories, finals and semi-finals at the major PDC tournaments and the BDO World Championship in previous years.
