The UK Open are ranked tournaments in darts. The UK Open 2020 will be organized for the 18th time by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) from March 6th to 8th, 2020 . The venue is again the Butlin's Resort in Minehead .
format
The top 128 of the PDC Order of Merit , the Top 8 of the Challenge Tour Order of Merit, the Top 8 of the Development Tour Order of Merit and 16 Riley's Amateur Qualifiers, which are held in 16 pubs across Great Britain , qualify for the tournament .
The tournament will be played in a knockout system . In the first round, the 64 lowest-ranked players compete against each other in 32 games. In the second round, the winners meet players 65–96 of the PDC Order of Merit. In the third round the players 33–64 of the PDC Order of Merit join and in the fourth round the remaining players (1–32 of the PDC Order Of Merit). The first three rounds are played in the best of 11 legs mode . From the fourth round up to and including the quarter-finals, the game will be played in the best of 19 legs mode . The semi-finals and the final will be played in the best of 21 legs mode.
Prize money
A total of £ 400,000 in prize money will be awarded to the tournament. The prize money is distributed among the participants as follows:
