action
After his roommate Josh spent their joint rent on Filipino prostitutes, Alex, a 35-year-old play tester, has to find a new place to live. After an "incident" with his friend Jeff's mother, Alex is forced to move in with his grandmother. In order not to look bad in front of his younger colleagues, he claims to live with "three hot girls", but he lives with two other older women who share a flat with his grandmother . As a hobby, Alex develops his own game called "Demonic", which he shows his grandmother and which completely captivates her.
Full-time, Alex and his colleagues are testing the new game Eternal Death Slayer 3 from Brainasium . The game is developed by the programmer JP, known as the "child prodigy", who develops the game on his own. To ensure that the game is finished on time, the boss of the company, Mr. Cheezle, hires Samantha, who is supposed to ensure that the deadline, which at this point is only five days, is met. She distributes the levels to be tested to the game testers, with Alex being assigned the last and therefore most difficult levels. After Alex arrives at home, he ransacks the fridge and puts everything in the oven at once. While the food is getting hot, he smokes a bong in his room . When he gets downstairs, he sees the food in the oven and wants to take it out with his bare hands, burning both hands on the tin. This puts him back on schedule, as it makes it impossible for him to test the game. At work he then claims, in order to preserve his image, that this injury was caused by his roommates when they involved him in certain sex practices.
After he can remove his bandages again, Alex wants to test the game at home, but his three roommates have discovered a new TV show for themselves that literally captivates them in front of the TV. So he doesn't get around to testing the levels again. In the end, all four fall asleep in front of the television. Alex catches up on the missed sleep at work under his desk the next day. While he sleeps, the three older women come to visit him to bring him his breakfast, introducing themselves to his colleagues as his roommates, which they initially misunderstand and think of Alex's previous descriptions. Ultimately, Alex overhears his visit and clarifies the situation.
Since he still has not passed his tests and there is hardly any time left for testing, he gives the three women tickets to their favorite TV show, which leaves the house and Alex finally has time for his level. The next day Samantha can announce to the assembled team that all bugs have been fixed and that the schedule can be kept. With relief, the colleagues and friends decide to go out in the evening, and Mr. Cheezle recommends a vegan shop, which quickly turns out to be broke. The group then drives to the nearest hamburger shop and eats in the parking lot. Jeff then has to go to the bathroom, and when asked why he can't pee on a tree, he replies that he needs to go “big”. Alex then offers to go to his grandmother's, which they do.
Once there, they find the three women completely detached in front of the television, while they laugh and talk strange things all the time. After a short time it turns out that they unknowingly drank Alex's last marijuana as tea, believing it was tea from the late Sophie. The situation quickly turns into a party when Alex invites his friend and drug dealer Dante, who brings a whole bunch of people to the celebration. During the celebration, the friends speak a provocative message to the JP who is not present on the mailbox of his cell phone.
The next day, Alex and Samantha get closer, something that had already begun. JP listens to the news of the celebration and shows up at Alex's house later that evening to tearfully admit that he'd like to be part of the circle of friends, but it gnaws at him that Alex and Samantha are together, what he is but don't say it out loud. By chance, JP discovers Alex's game Demonic , which he looks at enthusiastically, and offers to take it home to give him some tips.
The next day, Mr. Cheezle announced "JP's newest game," which turned out to be Demonic. Everyone is enthusiastic, but Alex protests against it, since it is his own work. JP denies this and Alex leaves the company without further ado. Samantha later comes up with the idea of letting Grandma Lilly play against JP in Demonic to prove that JP doesn't own the game. Grandma Lilly can successfully win the fight against him and JP loses his post.
Six months later you can see the friends celebrating the launch of Demonic together.
