Greatest Hits ( English for: "Biggest Hits") is a best-of album by the American rapper The Notorious BIG. It was released on March 6, 2007, ten years after his death, on the Bad Boy Entertainment label.

Most of the songs on the album are previously released singles and tracks from the four studio albums Ready to Die (four songs), Life After Death (five pieces), Born Again (three tracks) and Duets: The Final Chapter (one song ). In addition, with One More Chance / Stay with Me (Remix) (from the album Bad Boy's Greatest Hits Volume 1 ) and Get Money (from the album Conspiracy by Junior MAFIA ) two more tracks are included on the best-of. The songs Running Your Mouth and Want That Old Thing Back are new releases. With Mo Money Mo Problems , one of the rapper's most successful singles is also missing from the compilation.

Many different producers were involved in the production of the album. As Executive Producer is Sean Combs and The Notorious BIG given itself. Sean Combs is also involved in most of the instrumentals with nine productions. Stevie J. contributed to three beats and two productions each from DJ Premier , Chucky Thompson and Nashiem Myrick. In addition, Poke , Easy Mo Bee , Jazze Pha , Soopafly and Mario Winans are responsible for one instrumental each . Some of the producers on the album are part of The Hitmen's production team.
Many songs contain samples of songs by other artists.
Cover design
The album cover shows the face of The Notorious BIG in the lower part. He wears a blue beret and looks at the viewer. In the upper part of the picture is the red lettering [Greatest Hits] . The background is completely white.
Guest Posts
Other artists can be heard on eleven of the 17 songs in addition to The Notorious BIG. So when is Juicy the girl group Total and represented in Hypnotize sings Pamela Long, a member of this group, the chorus. Other guest singers are Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige in the song One More Chance / Stay with Me (Remix) . The pieces Get Money and Notorious Thugs represent collaborations with the rap groups Junior MAFIA and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony respectively. Tracks on which many artists are represented are Nasty Girl ( P. Diddy , Nelly , Jagged Edge , Avery Storm ) and Running Your Mouth ( Snoop Dogg , Nate Dogg , Fabolous , Busta Rhymes ). The Notorious BIG's discoverer Puff Daddy can also be heard in the track Notorious BIG alongside rapper Lil 'Kim . Singer R. Kelly made a guest appearance on Fuck You Tonight , while rapper Eminem raps a verse on Dead Wrong . Furthermore, the song Want That Old Thing Back is a collaboration with rapper Ja Rule and singer Ralph Tresvant .

The best-of album rose to the top of the US charts straight away and stayed in the top 200 for a total of 203 weeks. In addition, Greatest Hits reached position 58 in the United Kingdom and stayed in the charts for ten weeks. In contrast, the sound carrier could not place itself in the German charts.
Sales figures and awards
In the United States, the album went platinum in 2018 for over one million sales . Likewise, Greatest Hits went platinum for more than 300,000 copies sold in the UK in 2017.
