history

View of small towns

In 1378, large cities were mentioned as "Skoden magnum (major)" and small towns as "Skoden parvum (minor)". Regarding the manorial rule , large cities belonged to the Schnaditz manor (near Bad Düben in northern Saxony ) and as an official village directly to the Rochlitz office . Around 1548 small towns were partly subordinated to the parish and the council of Rochlitz with regard to the manorial lordship and a further part as an official village to the office of Rochlitz. After 1764, large and small towns were completely subordinate to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Rochlitz as official villages until 1856 . Both places have always been parish church after Seelitz. The offices were dissolved during the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Saxony in the 19th century . As a result, large and small towns came under the administration of the Rochlitz Court Office in 1856 and under the newly established Rochlitz District Administration in 1875 .

On April 1, 1935, large cities and towns merged to form the municipality of Städtische, which was incorporated into Zetteritz on July 1, 1950 . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, cities as a district of the municipality of Zetteritz were incorporated into the Rochlitz district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Rochlitz from 1990 and the newly formed in 1994 Mittweida district and 2008 in the central Saxony district. With the incorporation of the municipality of Zetteritz with its districts after Seelitz, cities has been a district of the greater municipality of Seelitz since January 1, 1994.
