Coat of arms of House Escherde
Blazon : "In the silver shield between two upright red keys with turned away beards a three-leaf green clover leaf protruding halfway over the key."
Foundation of the coat of arms: The monastery founded in 1203 by Lippold von Escherde at his ancestral seat Groß Escherde was relocated to the village of Bovingehusen, today's House of Escherde, in 1236, where it existed until 1810. The coat of arms of its founder attached to the gates of the monastery is the basis for the newly created coat of arms of the Haus-Escherde community. While she sees in the keys the symbol of independence and responsibility for its administration, she recognizes the shamrock as a symbol and pledge of the happiness of her community.
